Pumpkins, gourds, and pinecones, oh my! September is here, pumpkin spice is everywhere, and we’re fixin’ to start getting things ready for fall. The changing season, the colder weather (below 100 is colder right?), the holiday excitement is building – what’s not to love?

We never turn down a good reason to change up our home decor and autumn is no exception. Whether you choose rich, warm tones or a neutral color scheme with pops of bold colors, you can make your home feel warm and cozy while making it uniquely you.
Without further adieu, here are a few of our favorite fall 2018 decor ideas to get you started!
Untraditional Fall Colors
Traditional fall color palettes use warm browns, burnt oranges, rich reds, and are full of rusty and golden tones. But you can mix and match or use a neutral backdrop with pops of fall tones. The possibilities are endless and the choice is yours.

Changing up your color palette can be as simple as swapping out some throw pillows for some rich, jewel-toned pieces, changing your curtains, or adding a warm, cozy blanket. You don’t have to do a total renovation of your home to change up your decor. You’ll be surprised how a few simple changes here and there can completely change the look and feel of your home.
Llano Barrel Chairs
To make a truly dramatic transformation, however, you may need to do more than change up a few pillows! Adding a few statement chairs to your living area can not only add something new and different to the space, it can also add an extra element of texture and dimension.
Large Florals and Foliage
When the leaves outside are changing, don’t be afraid to bring some of that beautiful fall foliage indoors. Pumpkins, gourds, pine cones, leaves, branches, twigs, and fall wreaths are great ways to give your home that fall feel.
Brightly colored leaves and foliage are one of our favorite ways to decorate for fall. Whether it be a garland, a centerpiece, mantle decor, or a beautiful autumn wreath, foliage gives the perfect touch of fall to any place.

But you can also bring fall florals into your home by incorporating rugs and furniture that include those prints. In 2018, the general rule is “the bigger, the better!” Don’t be afraid of large prints and bold colors.

Adding Layers of Texture
Because the weather will be dropping and you’ll be spending more time inside, it’s a great idea to add rugs and other textiles to your interiors. A cozy rug with beautiful, rich prints will not only help retain warmth in a room, they’re also a great way to add those fall colors you’re looking for.

You can also achieve extra, cozy texture by selecting furniture that’s plush, is a mix of leather and fabric, and features those warm fall colors.
Gold, Gold, and More Gold
Copper, gold, and bronze hues are a trend that’s still going strong at the end of 2018! If you’re worried about overdoing it, a little goes a long way. Consider implementing golds in accessories such as frames, lamps, and even barware. You can also simply incorporate these colors into your usual fall floral arrangements and wreaths.

Ambient Lighting
As the days get shorter, it is the perfect time to take advantage by lighting some fall-scented candles around the house. If you have a fireplace, have it inspected and prepped for its debut and get ready for a fireside night.
